What is a disciple?

A disciple is a follower of Jesus Christ who is increasingly trusting in Him and living his or her life in response to His mercy and grace. In other words, a disciple knows how to Repent, Believe, and Follow, and is continually exhibiting the fruit of the Spirit in his or her personal relationship with God, family, the local church, and the world.

Realms of Christian Maturity

Personal Relationship

Maturity is not defined by one's amount of knowledge nor one's length of time in the faith. But rather it is a continuous deepening of love and affection for Jesus Christ and a fervent pursuit of intimacy with Him in spirit and in truth.

Family Faithfulness

Mature disciples are faithfully caring for his or her families' spiritual, physical, and emotional well-being. They are always striving to maintain Jesus as the anchor for all hope, identity, and stewardship. 

Church-Committed

A mature disciple sees that the depth of God's call on his or her life is too big to bear alone. Interdependence and community are not optional but have become a necessity for kingdom work.

World Witness

Instead of isolating, sheltering from, or assimilating into the world, mature Christians know how to engage in and redeem their societal duties for Christ.
