What is Sunday School?

Cornerstone Sunday School classes are designed to enable Christians and skeptics alike to think carefully about faith. We believe a key ingredient in deepening our faith is the opportunity to question and learn. Each course offered throughout Fall, Winter, and Spring is aimed at equipping believers to grow in biblical wisdom and practice in all areas of life.
For however long God has you in SoMD, we hope you invest and grow in your faith with us!

Here is what we are offering Fall 2026

Starts September 20

It’s been called many things: “9 to 5,” “The Daily Grind,” “Time to make the donuts.” Work can be exciting but also numbing. It can be liberating but also enslaving. For most, work is a necessity to pay the bills, while for others, work is the end goal itself. In some way, we all must care about work- the lack of or it’s overwhelmingness. But, what if God cares more about our work than we do? What if work is a gift meant for more than paying the bills? Work is joy- that’s what we hope you’ll discover in this class. Join us this fall and let scripture breathe new life into your work with His purpose.

So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom” What does wisdom look like when there are people in our life who need help in making difficult decisions that come with aging? Or better yet, how can we grow in wisdom now that will bless others later? Caring for loved ones can lead to much anxiety as one gets overwhelmed with decisions and logistics, but it doesn’t have to be that way! Come hear practical advice and wisdom in this class to faithfully prepare you to care for others well!
